Objective:

Increasingly trainers and managers are finding that lecturing, designing power points, and giving presentations isn’t enough to satisfy learners. They are expected to provide learning workshops that are more engaging and create results that are decided by participants rather than the trainer. 

This workshop offers trainers a chance to create an active learning environment that will enable participants to take ownership for the learning outcomes. Dr. Roger Greenaway, one of the UK’s best recognized facilitators and the leading expert on debriefing and facilitation in learning, will provide trainers with the tools and techniques to enhance the impact and effectiveness of their own training exercises and programs.   

Graduates from this program will have a fundamental tool box for facilitation including debriefing strategies along with 15 or more specific techniques to facilitate learning from experience. During the workshop, Dr. Greenaway will introduce his 4-F model for debriefing, as well as creative and interactive ways to use the model to improve engagement, learning retention and training results.

This open workshop targets all trainers and managers who want to develop their facilitation skills.

He is recognized as the world’s leading expert on facilitating learning from experience and has contributed to numerous books and publications on the topic of facilitation, as well as authored two books specifically about reviewing topics. He trains facilitators, educators, trainers and consultants to bring out the full benefits of active and experiential learning. Roger works with training organisations, training departments and educational institutions worldwide. He was awarded a PhD degree with a study of Powerful Learning Experiences in Management Learning and Development from University of Lancaster in 1995.
